not me monday

a few things me and the fam DID NOT do this week...

brooke DID NOT discover the loud and awesome skill of whistling on sunday night...and i was NOT ready to outlaw whistling in the house 2 hours later.

i DID NOT hit the queen mother of all sales at children's place spending less than $50 and getting 15 items...i was NOT super joyful and ecstatic!
i DID NOT go on strike one day this week from the fam house/pick-up after getting exhausted from never seeing anyone else do anything. i DID NOT sit and watch DVR whilst the fam cleaned and did the chores of the day. my kiddos DID NOT tell me i do "a lot of work".

hubs DID NOT say "honey, I like your cavernous goodness" in front of our friend, joey, who DID NOT instantly send out a tweet. oh yeah, the cavern...my slouchy jeans. remember, crack kills.
jada DID NOT get a snip/bite on the hand from java this week...we DID NOT end up in the ER getting "bracelets" and bandaids and leaving with smiles that jada finally has made a hospital visit outside of being born. i have NEVER seen a kid so delighted.

jada DID NOT say 'sofia, stay away from java or she will bite u and then u go 2 the hospital like me. and it will hurt. and i mean hurt. like really bad hurt.'

i DID NOT pay phase 10 with our friends on saturday night and get through, count them 7, yes seven, hands before i got my very first phase. i was NOT getting ticked off and frustrated bc i am NOT a very competitive person at heart and wanted to win.
my daddy DID NOT have a birthday on sunday...the ehaus fam DID NOT sing the big fat bday song to him on the phone. i DID NOT wish he was standing next to me instead. i am NOT a total daddy's girl...still.

i DID NOT send hubs out for chocolate chunk ice cream with cherries on sunday night bc, well, seriously, aunt flo was in town and i NEEDED {and i do mean needed} the chocolate. i do NOT have a great hubs...

Love the Children's place. I totally need to head there soon. I have a coupon.
Love Brooke's toothless grin. so cute.
I had to laugh at your phase 10 experience. I am so bad at that game. I always get caught with so many cards in my hand.

Fun blog! I came over from Mamarazzi's blog! :)
I am still in awe of the items at Children's place! If my boys were not already so overloaded with clothing I'd be there!
Thanks Mommaof4 thanks for passing by my blog. Have a great evening.

random acts...GNO

over at GNO, there's a few of us who decided to challenge ourselves last week to perform a random act of kindness.   i talked with my girls and hubs about what we could do... we reserve some funds each month out of our giving to put towards a current or urgent need that we find.  i think it's important to let the kids see how we give as family...and they should be part of that decision too . as we were talking, and eating chinese...come on, you know there would be eating...i open my fortune cookie.  and this is it!! i was out getting a few minutes of alone time and decided to pay hubs forward by getting jiffy lube to do the oil change.  while i was there, i remembered how hard it was being a single mom.  i remembered that the little things, like oil changes, suddenly became bigger things and honestly, more expensive things.  *light bulb!!!* thomas rang me up for my oil change and asked if they had any scheduled appointments that i could pay for.  he looked at me a little odd......

tuesday tribute---for tuesday

go blog yourself has been on my reading list for quite sometime...and so i really came to love little tuesday whitt and her whole sweet fam and became involved in praying for them in tuesday's battle with that stinky neuroblastoma . tuesday's parents are totally amazing...they inspire me! although tuesday went to play with jesus not so long ago, there have been so many people that are changed because of the courage and strength and honesty of the whitt family. on the day of celebration of tuesday's life, a number of folks who couldn't make it out to the funeral, took their kids on a 'wagie ride', which was one of tuesday's fav things. we all posted up our pics...shared our experiences with each other...and hugged our kiddos a little tighter. my kiddos wagie ride is here . from that precious little tuesday and her honorary wagie ride, a blog spawned...of course...and it is dedicated to nothing more than, in their words, "to keep track of lives touc...

one lucky chick

i have been super blessed with a man who not only loves and adores me, but thinks his daughters are all queens deserving of the most love a daddy can give.  in this family, and with other special needs families, there are days that make being fully engaged, well, let's just say difficult. poop, for instance...it's still an issue in our house.  with kids 20, 12, 10, and 7, you would think that we were well past the poop problems, but we are not.  ASD (autism spectrum disorder) is a beast when it comes to poop. and here's a little insight on me...i'm a gagger, meaning the harsh smell of poop or puke makes be puke.  but the amazing hot hubs, he's a beast on the clean up.  poop on the walls...he scrubs it.  poop pasted on the toilet...he cleans it up.  poop on the shower curtain...he washes it.  and he does it without being nasty.  (he doesn't like it...but he does it.) so, when people see our fam and think it's all amazingly perfect and cu...
