the eye's have it...

paige is in photography class...which i love...and she just finished a project on eyes. i had to share these fun and amazing shots with you...

boys eyes are right eyes, girls are left...and she's mounting them side by side making 5 sets. i think that is totally awesome!

remember krystal...yep, this is her eye! look at the colors!
and my jada...funny how a brown eye only looks brown until you see it up close.
and the fab miss brooke...can you say BLUE?
i'm boring...yep, just brown and really in need of a touch up on the eye brows in this shot!
{right after i saw it, i did a touch up...i promise!}
miss sofia takes the blue to an all new level!
who knew that eyes could be tie dyed...this is matt from our youth group!
ok, this is a little freaky, but this is josh, paige's boyfriend. orange and green...hmmm.
and then ryan...i can't believe how gorgeous his eyes even are....you all can totally be jealous of me!
i'm proud of her...this is good work! yeah paige!
have a happy thursday peeps...hubs returns from his trip tonight so that makes it a fab night!!

I have a photographer in my house as well...it's sooooo cool to watch what they discover about themselves! She's getting quite good...now I have to catch up!

It's funny...everyone TALKS about "changing Christmas" but when you tell them to donate money they say, "come on really, what do you want?" I have had this chat with my mom...she doesn't believe me:) I want to give it all away...make a difference somewhere, somehow...

random acts...GNO

over at GNO, there's a few of us who decided to challenge ourselves last week to perform a random act of kindness.   i talked with my girls and hubs about what we could do... we reserve some funds each month out of our giving to put towards a current or urgent need that we find.  i think it's important to let the kids see how we give as family...and they should be part of that decision too . as we were talking, and eating chinese...come on, you know there would be eating...i open my fortune cookie.  and this is it!! i was out getting a few minutes of alone time and decided to pay hubs forward by getting jiffy lube to do the oil change.  while i was there, i remembered how hard it was being a single mom.  i remembered that the little things, like oil changes, suddenly became bigger things and honestly, more expensive things.  *light bulb!!!* thomas rang me up for my oil change and asked if they had any scheduled appointments that i could pay for.  he looked at me a little odd......

tuesday tribute---for tuesday

go blog yourself has been on my reading list for quite sometime...and so i really came to love little tuesday whitt and her whole sweet fam and became involved in praying for them in tuesday's battle with that stinky neuroblastoma . tuesday's parents are totally amazing...they inspire me! although tuesday went to play with jesus not so long ago, there have been so many people that are changed because of the courage and strength and honesty of the whitt family. on the day of celebration of tuesday's life, a number of folks who couldn't make it out to the funeral, took their kids on a 'wagie ride', which was one of tuesday's fav things. we all posted up our pics...shared our experiences with each other...and hugged our kiddos a little tighter. my kiddos wagie ride is here . from that precious little tuesday and her honorary wagie ride, a blog spawned...of course...and it is dedicated to nothing more than, in their words, "to keep track of lives touc...

one lucky chick

i have been super blessed with a man who not only loves and adores me, but thinks his daughters are all queens deserving of the most love a daddy can give.  in this family, and with other special needs families, there are days that make being fully engaged, well, let's just say difficult. poop, for instance...it's still an issue in our house.  with kids 20, 12, 10, and 7, you would think that we were well past the poop problems, but we are not.  ASD (autism spectrum disorder) is a beast when it comes to poop. and here's a little insight on me...i'm a gagger, meaning the harsh smell of poop or puke makes be puke.  but the amazing hot hubs, he's a beast on the clean up.  poop on the walls...he scrubs it.  poop pasted on the toilet...he cleans it up.  poop on the shower curtain...he washes it.  and he does it without being nasty.  (he doesn't like it...but he does it.) so, when people see our fam and think it's all amazingly perfect and cu...
