brooke's first hair cut was this week...and yes, i know she's 5 1/2. she grew hair very slow...and well, i'm cheap and not paying good money for a certificate and smile.
instead, i paid good money for a snipet of her hair and a 10 minute peep of strawberry shortcake. yep...very disappointing. {my first clue should have been the very, very sweet stylist with the 80's bangs and no style.}

miss 80's was going to have b walk out with her hair not even styled. grrr...after my suggestion of at leastplumping up her curls or braiding, she did a loose braid...
what u can't see is the uneven part and strands of hair flying all over the place. i guess i expect too much...but she looked better when she went in than when she left.
{who puts green hair ties in a girls hair??}
next time...a trip to my salon...same price...and the portable DVD player!
in the end, the trim was good...style was bad...
but it's done and a few mcdonald's fries can cure any of my pains!

Yesterday's treat cost me FORTY bucks!! I was blown away. They just did a wet cut, trimming up the ends.
Suzie had a small braid put in the top along with some curls on the bottom. Graice had a little pony tail to pull her bangs back and a little bit of curling done. Definitely not $40 worth.
But we had a fun girls-day out, so I dont regret it too much. Next time I will ask how much the cut is first.
And I totally agree with you about the 80's chick. Always check out the hair stylist before you get a cut. If they dont look good, neither will you.
I used to go to one lady that cut and styled everyone's hair just like her hair. Not that is was a bad style, it was just her style.
Sorry you had such a awful time! She is cute regardless though.
My first daughter grows hair very slow as well, and sadly enough her little sister is the same way. They have their dad's hair (who's is thin and very little there) and the boys have my hair (thick, thick, thick). My Mother in law has a beauty shop so we get all our hair cute for free. :)
Hope your daughter didn't feel like she got shafted.
Hope you have a happy WW anyway :)
But - great shots!!

My boys would beg me to get haircuts if our hairdresser had one.
