ryan is a ball of energy...super happy, most of the time, and playful, like a kid every single second. he's never going to grow up...and that's perfectly fine with me, except when i'm totally grumpy and it gets on my nerves. {snicker}
i grabbed a few totally off beat, random shots of him and they soooo describe the faces of ryan as i see them...
"i am working and i can not hear anything going on outside of my head. if the house is on fire, physically move my body because i will not notice."
"i have to go on a business trip...tomorrow...and i just found out. must plan gifts for the girls for my return."
"this is me...take it or leave it."
i gotta say, i love me some of those faces right now because he traveled last week and this week...and i need a little "this is me" face around here!
happy thanksgiving you all!!! be blessed.

november is national adoption awareness month
kids learn different things at different times in life...adoption is the same way. my girls began to ask "why" type questions about 2-3 years of age. and let me tell you, being prepared is the key to anything you are nervous about...so i studied.
i know, i'm a geek, but if you have your answers prepared, you aren't in shock and answer the wrong way. no adoptive mother wants to answer the "why did i have to be adopted" question, because in that question is the pain and attachment of a child...no matter what the answer.
here's a great resource to take a look at...discuss...remember. it's called "what children understand about adoption". it's by far not inclusive, but a great place to start the thinking process.

Happy Thanksgiving!
My guy doesn't travel, but he is gone alot of hours, and at the drop of a hat needs to leave (weekends, birthdays...no day is sacred). You realized how much you miss them and need your other half of the "team".
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Great photos!
Happy Thanksgiving to the thorn & the roses. =)
