i woke up at 2:00am on friday, bc well, i'm getting older and i had to pee...again. {darn kids}
i look out the front bedroom window to see the joy and wonder of the love of high school ministry...
a tp'd yard.
i chuckle.
i smile.
i go back to bed...knowing ryan will be driving up from his trip from china in less than an hour...to which he WILL NOT smile or chuckle.
the next morn i go to make some fresh nectar of the gods {coffee} and i look out the kitchen window to the back yard...was it real? was it true??they totally nailed the entire yard this time...and in 30 minutes!
man, they are getting really good at this stuff...
...nothing was left untouched. the deck was wrapped and strung.
{i counted 3 family packs of tp wrapping...}
they got the pergola, every tree. even some of my neighbors trees.
those hs kids...they are consistant if they are anything!
they show us soooo much love...and it's always when ryan is returning home from a business trip.
we spent a lot of time doing tp jumping and cleaning up on saturday morn...it's a fam thing. the neighbors pitched in and it wasn't all that bad. please don't misunderstand, i would def rather have been doing something else with the fam, but we were together, so i'll count it all good.
besides...kids in your youth ministry that drive 4o minutes to tp you, really do love you. or they are just plain silly.
to which i have decided, upon this 3rd time this summer, they are both.
and they should be a little forewarned, now there's a dog in the house and there will be poop in the yard...and she will be big and bark at you!
