rollin' and a jumpin'...and a little rantin'

that stinking little tykes car saved my hubs while i was gone...
i found these shots {that i edited} that hubs took of the girlie pies playing while i was gone a few weeks ago...man, did they have fun!!!

we have a huge hill/driveway...apparently the girlies were doing sprint car races...
and poor sofia...well, this is what happens when momma is gone. he takes pics and doesn't help...{which i appreciate in one way, bc it makes for great pics and blog posts, but...}
but the girls have fun anyway...
kinda...

and me, well, i'm really working on getting over the "it's not the right way" of thinking...oh, come on, you know what i'm talking about...

my way = the right way

i mean, i'm not even gonna mention that sofie's pants are 2 sizes too small, the girls hair isn't combed and well, that he had them freaking RAMPING off the end of the driveway into the cul-de-sac. if i did, it would assume i am right {which we all know the truth} and that means he'd have to be wrong...
and judging by the smiles on their faces,
well, maybe, just maybe he was right too.

nonetheless, i'm just jacked up that i have a hubs who loves the kiddos and takes time to be with them and even takes pics of his {stupid} escapades to be displayed.

good job honey...
i told you...he's one hot hubs!

so...are you RIGHT too??? come on...be honest!

I love these shots! I feel the same way when my hubs does these things. Usually, the boys are safer with him, but every once in a while...
Thanks for sharing!
I love this post! Sofie looks like in a mechanic with her feet sticking out of the car. What a fun daddy!

Oh my...you are too funny. I am always right too. LOL
Hubs did a great job taking the pictures and taking care of the girls. They look very happy...well except Sofie who is just looking for a little help:)
Love the editing too!

Yeah, I am, unfortunately, always right, about the kids anyway, but my hubby is loving and fun and when he does stuff with the kids, I have to just let go.

Great pictures and the ones of Sofie are hilarious! I am so impressed with your hubs that he had the camera along to capture the fun!

I love that one with just her legs sticking out! Because it wasn't enough to just get the first pic...he had to get another angle!! Ha! Too funny!
And see...in my world, Hubby would forget to take photographs of the funny moments. That's my job! :-)

When I had my first baby shower, I received some good advice: Let your husband do things with the kids HIS way or he won't want to take them at all. The advice paid off: in about a week I am heading off to NYC and he will have all FOUR of my kids for the entire weekend. There is a part of me that is worried and a part of me that is SO grateful!

Keep treating him like he is a hot hubby and he will be yours forever. :)

Cute shots.
I am ALWAYS right. My husband hates when I tell him what to do, so he doesn't listen to me a lot. I am getting tired of saying "told you so!"

My Aloha Friday :)

Um YES, I am SO right....we're always right. :-)
what fun they had while you were gone! Oh it would be fun to do these things, but we moms see things from a different point of view.... be see bumps and bruises and they see bravery and awesomeness!

Sofie looks as if she wants to say, "Hello, I can't see out the window!" So cute and of course, the pictures are priceless.

Looks like they had a great time...well that last one makes me wonder a bit being all trapped in the car and all *haha* but I bet she agrees.

Seriously funny pics!

My husband hates that I am right 99.9% of the time on factoids and things like that.

But I let him do what he wants with the baby. He was a "used" Daddy, so he's already a step ahead of me anyway! " )

random acts...GNO

over at GNO, there's a few of us who decided to challenge ourselves last week to perform a random act of kindness.   i talked with my girls and hubs about what we could do... we reserve some funds each month out of our giving to put towards a current or urgent need that we find.  i think it's important to let the kids see how we give as family...and they should be part of that decision too . as we were talking, and eating chinese...come on, you know there would be eating...i open my fortune cookie.  and this is it!! i was out getting a few minutes of alone time and decided to pay hubs forward by getting jiffy lube to do the oil change.  while i was there, i remembered how hard it was being a single mom.  i remembered that the little things, like oil changes, suddenly became bigger things and honestly, more expensive things.  *light bulb!!!* thomas rang me up for my oil change and asked if they had any scheduled appointments that i could pay for.  he looked at me a little odd...

sadness

on the way home from DD {{bc apparently there was NO preschool today for jk...it's no prob, really...we just rushed around and scrambled and got in the car and then when we got there and there was no school...well, there were tears...thus DD}} , there came a moment of sincere sadness in my heart. jk: " mommy, i want to look like brookie" "why sweetie? you are the perfect jada" jk: "i don't like my brown skin. i want peach skin like brookie" i just sank. does that not make ur heart want to break? a 3 yo is struggling already with her skin being different. then, this happened: brooke: "jada, god made you and he loves you. he does it all right the very first time" then, i think my heart grew three sizes . jada threw a big smile up on her face and said, "ok. god loves me" now, if we all could just do that. god loves us...he doesn't make mistakes...he makes perfect works of art. sometimes there are scratches in the art.
So, it's been a while since i posted...years, in fact.  I stumbled upon to an old post and thought, I need to write more.  So here we are now... My family looks completely different and times are different, but we are still just the same people.  We've added one...P got married 2 years ago and now we have A.  I will talk more about that later.  But isn't our pic soooo cute?   For now, life is crazy and wild and sometimes completely unpredictable, but we are still praying and playing together.  Ryan and I are on our 21st year of marriage (woot woot), and the kids are well, old!  P is 25 and happily married to A, and they are celebrating 2 years next month.   B is a junior,  has a job and is blowing our minds with all she is achieving in this world, and she's one of the funniest kids on the planet.  She's grown an amazing amount in all her therapies and in life in general...she's an advocate for all who struggle, and autism does not define her...she defines hersel
