a few things me and the fam DID NOT do this week...
sofia DID NOT harf all over the ground at a get together...and i DID NOT pour a cup of water over it and call it reflux...which it was, but it was still really gross.
brooke DID NOT spend 2 nights with nana and papa and come home with special treats for each of her siblings...pancake for sofie, fruit snack for jada and leftover popcorn for paige.
sofie DID NOT stand at the end of the driveway with one foot on the road and one foot on the edge taunting me...at 18 months. i DID NOT say, "too far. come back"...to which she DID NOT shake her head "NO" and smile and keep on going...to which i DID NOT give her another warning. her reply, "NO!" and keep on going. i followed up by picking her up and putting her in the yard...to which she threw herself on the ground, kicked her feet, yelled "NO NO NO" and pounded her fists.
and i am NOT scared to death to see what will happen with miss sof when she's 13...not at all. ahhhhh.
jada DID NOT come home from her week at grandma and grandpa's doting herself all around. she DID NOT say, "i am going to be super famous as a cooker mommy. grandpa said so."
while teaching on luke 9:23-24 on sunday, i DID NOT use "whore house" in my sermon...i DID NOT get told after first service to use the word "brothel" instead. ooops.
i DID NOT get 3 days this week with only 2 kids...bc grandparents on both sides called and invited one of the kids to stay with them! how did that happen. i DID NOT drink coffee every day on the patio...i DID NOT have freinds over for breakfast one day...and i DID NOT sleep in every day i could...and i am NOT really glad that my kiddos are all now back home.
i DID NOT eat 4 donuts in one day...2 in the morn and then the other 2 would NOT quit calling my name...so i had to eat the other 2. they totally missed their friends. and that, my friends, is why i struggle with my weight...but the donuts are happy and that's all that matters.
sofie DID NOT have a full conversation with a neighbor's dog in total sofie/dog talk...she panted, barked, sniffed, walked on all 4's...and sadly, they seemed to understand each other.
i DID NOT go a date with hot hubs this week to see the movie, 'hangover'. i def DID NOT laugh til i almost peed myself at all the super great one liners that came out of the dumb guys mouth..."so, i know you get this a lot, but does the real caesar live here?". priceless.
oh, and i was DEF NOT the guest blogger over at who says eight is enough with my fab friend, debi...go and check her and her crew out...you think we're a motley crew...they are too, and bigger!

She is just independent...yep that is what I tell myself about my kids:)
How cool to have a date night. I love those.
I can just see the eyes buldging..Too funny!
Everyday your kids grow more gorgeous!
I aspire to a tiny bit of this type of indulgence...even if only for a little while.

Donuts are too good to leave alone. You were doing them a favor!
Glad you got a little kiddo break.
Those donuts wouldn't stand a chance around me either. Which is why I don't buy them anymore. Dumb donuts!
