fluffy

i have been brutally aware the last few weeks of my blessings...and the pain of loss of a few fab little lives here in the blogosphere. little tuesday fiona whitt went to dance with jesus in heaven last week and my heart is just broken. i spilled my guts to my good friend, kacey at chronicles of a mommy...and she was already moving...she came up with the idea of project happy hearts to honor tuesday.

so kacey has decided to make this loss bring lights and smiles to others by honoring little tuesday with the help of a great little fam who just wants people to smile! i love that!!!
do me a favor...go to chronicles and read how you can help. read a little about FiveOh4Uplifting and the amazing joy that they are sending.

and please pray...pray for tuesday's family...pray for cynthia at yummy mommy who's little aiden is now playing with the angels {read more here}...and for cora paige , who is almost 1 and battling stage 4 cancer, and this is day 12 of mommy and daddy knowing.

brooke has amazingly curly and soft hair...after i combed out her braids one morning, jada said, "hey brooke, i want to pet you hair. can i pet your hair?"

having kids of different races and having totally different hair sometimes just cracks me up. so often i get asked about how jada's hair feels or how do i style it or braid it...but not one time have i ever heard someone wanting to "pet" brooke's hair! so stinking funny!

i love my "motley crew" and i sure wouldn't have it any other way...hair petting and all!

go check out more wordful wednesday posts or join in!

Her hair is so beautiful! Ya gotta love the instant hairdo created when you comb out braids - my mom totally did that to me all the time when I was a little munchkin!

Thank you for posting about all the children. I will go check out those links.
Very precious picture of Jada petting her sisters hair. Oh so sweet and so gentle.

Ok so I'm crying like a fountain. I'm so glad that these little angels came into the world to bless those around them even if for such a short time.

On another note your girls are adorable.

Thank you for talking about those beautiful children. I was heart broken to hear that they had passes away and that another was battling something so disgusting. It's sad when anyone has a deadly disease, it's heart wrenching when it's a child.

You daughters are beautiful. I love that Jada wanted to pet Brooke's hair. Teehee. Very adorable :D

That's funny and it hits home with me because of my kids' hair. They're between the both of yours. People are so curious about it. I love your photos!

What a wonderful way to honor Tuesday. And on a lighter note, how funny that Jada asked to "pet" Brooke's hair!

Such sweet girls. Shiloh walked up to someone one day and said, "Is that your baby?" and when they said yes, she asked, "Can I pet her?"

my daughter is white and her friend is African American and she keeps saying she wants hair like her friend's and I keep telling her I"m not sure that's possible sweetheart

It is just so cool when people come together. I think it is one of the best things that people can do, support each other.

I love the photos and of the 'petting' ;)

And I don't know what I am going to do. Two more follows and you will beat. I guess I will just surrender now. ;)

hi! i agree, we need to count our blessings everyday. my heart breaks for all of those families who lost their precious children. i take solace on the fact that they are all with Jesus. it's so hard for me to go to work and take care of children literally fighting for their lives, especially after i had my little ones.

too cute with the hair. my boys are also so different. lj has curly hair and lucas looks like he's going to have stick straight hair, although it gets curly when he sweats or after a bath.

i'm off to check the blogs you posted.

have a great rest of the week.

I'm on my way to check out those links. One of the best and one of the hardest things about blogging is being able to lift up folks you'd never be able to otherwise, but it is also heartbreaking to read what some folks are dealing with.

How heartbreaking! I could never imagine losing my baby girl. It just tears at my heart thinking about it.

Super cute...petting hair :o) Kids are the cutest things!

We have many type's of hair in our house too. Amazing the different reactions we get.

I would love if you did a post on how to do a certain hair style on different hair types. I'm running out of ideas. :)

Off to read the links you posted above. I will pray for all those families.

Like I just told another fellow blogger, I am so grateful to have the oppertunity to mosy around and read about all of these incredible families and friends. I take something different away from what I read each day.Today I realized how blessed we are, and how much kindness and hope, and blessings and love are floating around in the world.
And by the way....she has the most beautiful blond locks, they look like they belong to a doll!
