vets

i am so blessed with awesome family...and one of the things that helps define it is the men and women who have served the United States of America...fought and are fighting for freedom around the world.
my dad is one of 8 kiddos...4 brothers, 3 of which who voluntarily served in the military all during Vietnam
my grandpa was a WWII vet...and all 5 of his brother-in-laws fought as well
i have a butt load of cousins who have retired and one currently serving his second tour in Iraq.

my dad...isn't he so handsome???

grandpa and grandma when grandpa came home...so cute!

this is my old school cousin carey...a marine of yesteryear

my cousin-in-law Greg...this was taken last week in Iraq.
it's the actual pic with no boosting or color changes...yucky sandstorms!! (greg has a wife and 4 kids...pray for them too)

so on this 11-11 veterans day...remember all who served.
pray for the freedom of the US.  pray for the families who sacrifice for our freedoms.  pray for the wives and husbands who have to say good bye to their spouse to fight for what is right around the world.  pray for those currently serving; for peace and strength and comfort and safety.  pray for our country and our governments.  pray for the people, around the world.

and, remember to say thanks...
it's veteran's day...so thanks for your love and service!
