Reward for taking a flu shot...Starbucks, of course!
After the drinks were gone and there was still WAY too much energy, we decided to go on a bear hunt.
so we climbed around...
and did a lot of running...(u have to love the bouncy hair!)
and more running from bears, of course
then we lurked...around corners
and we were pretty sure we found one in this 'forest'...
but it turns out that B saw one in a tree and "shot it". what in the world? we're girls...we don't have guns.
so i say, "we don't have guns."
b: "no worries mom. it's only pretend. see." (waving the pretend gun)
me: "i don't know if it's a good idea to play guns."
b: "mom, it's fine. no one can get hurt when it's pretend."
so, she shot the bear. i'm still not sure if i'm happy with the play air gun thingy, but i guess i'll get over it. in the end, we caught 4 bears and brooke tells me we quit too soon because there were 112 left to find. oops.

November is National Adoption Awareness Month!!!
each day (sorry i missed the first two...yikes) i'll be posting something fun or helpful about adoption...and ask away if you have questions.
today, i'm posting the 30 days calendar to do a little adoption promotion in your neck of the woods. the calendar on today's date says, ask your employer to begin an adoption assistance program at your workplace or a neighbor's workplace.
tidbit for you...with the $10,000 federal tax credit and our employers $5000 adoption assistance program, brooke's adoption cost us less than $5000 out of pocket...and that's significantly less than the cost of my two bio kids!
Comments
That sounds like so much fun! Can we come next time?
p.s. I am a proud pretend gun owner and a pretty good marksman, if I say so myself!
As far as National Adoption month, I have a couple friends working on adoption... I'll have to pass your tips along.
The kids looked so cute for Halloween!
Your girls are precious.
