I like myself!

My blogger friend, Lindsay, had this little sniblet on her blog this morn.  So, I thought "why not?".

HowManyOfMe.com
LogoThere are
1
or fewer people with my name in the U.S.A.

How many have your name?

Now, I know that my name is not normal...thanks to my Mom, who thought she made up my name (reality check...but it's still very sweet) and a hubby, who I love, that well, is from a great family, but really, there are only 335 in the US?

Well, all in all, I think it reminds me that I am special.  And, it's just like one of kiddos fav books...you have to stop and read this!!!

"...I still would be the same you see...
I like myself because I'm ME!!"

Funny, although I suspect there isn't FEWER than 1 person with your name :)

Wow! You must have a very unique name because I thought for sure mine would be the only one (given my last name, thanks husband) but there are 16 of us in the country! I guess that isn't too bad considering 483,402 have my first name. Wow!

I love that book. We are on our second copy of that book because it is so loved in our house.

Karen is a very common 1st name, but my last name, not so much. Put the two together, makes just one of me, too.

Apparently...There is only ONE of me as well! HA, I find that hard to believe....with a name like Lori...:)

Your comment was wonderful today on my site...you know it's when that really TOUGH stuff surrounds me that I whisper why? Sara Groves sings a song...and the line goes,"I don't doubt your sovereignty, I doubt my own abilities...to hear what you are saying..."

Have you heard of her...

I LOVE her music...it's just so real...

Have a great afternoon!!
and I'll pray that next one comes soon....very soon!

What a gorgeous family! (and a gorgeous blog design!) Thanks for visiting over my way.
I'm in the 'One or Fewer' catagory too. Cool!

It put me in the 1 or less catagory, but it also stated there were only 513 people in the US with my last name, that doesn't seem right. But there is none in our phone book, so maybe.

Oh weird, when I put in my maiden name it now says there is 1 person named it, not 1 or less. So is that person me??lol

tuesday tribute---for tuesday

go blog yourself has been on my reading list for quite sometime...and so i really came to love little tuesday whitt and her whole sweet fam and became involved in praying for them in tuesday's battle with that stinky neuroblastoma . tuesday's parents are totally amazing...they inspire me! although tuesday went to play with jesus not so long ago, there have been so many people that are changed because of the courage and strength and honesty of the whitt family. on the day of celebration of tuesday's life, a number of folks who couldn't make it out to the funeral, took their kids on a 'wagie ride', which was one of tuesday's fav things. we all posted up our pics...shared our experiences with each other...and hugged our kiddos a little tighter. my kiddos wagie ride is here . from that precious little tuesday and her honorary wagie ride, a blog spawned...of course...and it is dedicated to nothing more than, in their words, "to keep track of lives touc...

random acts...GNO

over at GNO, there's a few of us who decided to challenge ourselves last week to perform a random act of kindness.   i talked with my girls and hubs about what we could do... we reserve some funds each month out of our giving to put towards a current or urgent need that we find.  i think it's important to let the kids see how we give as family...and they should be part of that decision too . as we were talking, and eating chinese...come on, you know there would be eating...i open my fortune cookie.  and this is it!! i was out getting a few minutes of alone time and decided to pay hubs forward by getting jiffy lube to do the oil change.  while i was there, i remembered how hard it was being a single mom.  i remembered that the little things, like oil changes, suddenly became bigger things and honestly, more expensive things.  *light bulb!!!* thomas rang me up for my oil change and asked if they had any scheduled appointments that i could pay for.  he looked at me a little odd......
