i'm totally paying tribute to my kiddos super fab art today...
now...the description {you are gonna love this}
per the exact description of jada...
"there's dog, eating a cat in his mouth.
then, here {pointing}, there is a shaker full of sugar. and so, he puts the sugar in his mouth with the cat, and he shakes it and eats it. it's very yummy. and he has a football in his mouth too.
and then, this {pointing} is a volcano that is 'sploding {exploding} bubbles, not hot lava, all over the stinking place.
there's a rain coming down on the forest, so the baby and the cat with the inside of the dog's throat is choking. but the baby didn't believe the cat. so the baby didn't believe the dog got hit and then she went in the street and got hit. she didn't listen and went into the street and thank goodness a car wasn't coming. she would have totally died.
then she went to the kitchen and found the magic wand. and then she went out. she took the wand, and she makes a "round in the circle" and she made it to the forest for the rest of the day. and that made the stories. and they still didn't believe the cat was there. so jesus prayed for them. and then the evil witch flew away and went into the big pool and died. and she didn't believe.
when you don't believe, you die. and the rest of the kingdom didn't believe either. when they finally believed and they had power like this {the camera USB cable}...then, they saw a rainbow. then they had power, and then there was a prince who came to marry a princess. and they got married. the big witch was dead and jesus, the big jesus, prayed for everyone. they had a party. and the party went on and on.
the end."
wow...that's a lot of words...but i have to say, i am feeling a little bit of noah here...a little jonah...and salvation in this whole story! amazing art. amazing love. amazing kid. and god's totally amazing grace.
the baby not listening and the world taking big bites out of us every single day...and us constantly being warned about danger...and we still don't listen. we just keep on doing what we are doing. then we go so far into the street and we really should die, but we are given another chance...another try because the car wasn't there.
and there's the kitchen...and the magic wand and more miracles right before our eyes. creation. babies being born. children being healed. and we turn and still don't listen. then, sends his son, the rainbow...and we see the truth and we finally believe.
and this is what rocks my stinking face off...that my baby girl gets this. "when you don't believe, you die". from the mouth of babes. but once you believe, you rock it out and party down, because you have jesus and he prayed for you and you have the power...like the computer cord...connected to jesus.
reminds me a lot of romans 6:20
-23:
"As long as you did what you felt like doing, ignoring God, you didn't have to bother with right thinking or right living, or right anything for that matter. But do you call that a free life? What did you get out of it? Nothing you're proud of now. Where did it get you? A dead end.
But now that you've found you don't have to listen to sin tell you what to do, and have discovered the delight of listening to God telling you, what a surprise! A whole, healed, put-together life right now, with more and more of life on the way! Work hard for sin your whole life and your pension is death. But God's gift is real life, eternal life, delivered by Jesus, our Master."
your kids and friends, and honestly, the whole world listen...and they see...and obviously, there's an example to be shown...good or bad. is wish my example was always good, but it's not...i work on that every stinking day.
and all that, from a sweet picture from a 4 year old...funny how the biggest lessons and reminders in life come from the kiddos...hmmmm. i should listen more.

I enjoyed reading your blog tonight....
Had some time to do some blog hopping...
always enjoy finding new blogs!
Hope you will visit me. This month I am posting on our Disney trip.
Beautiful art and beautiful post.
The kid has a gift--for listening, for sharing, for storytelling, for expressing herself. What a blessing. And I'm so glad you documented all of that, because so many times we'll hear it, hold it close to our hearts, and then forget about two minutes later because, well, life happens and you just can't hold on to it all. Be sure to show her this when she gets old enough to understand how profound she was at such a young age!
Hugs and Mocha,

The artwork was great enough, but the explanation was amazing! Wow!
=)
I also have to add that I love that your girls say, "stinkin'" and "totally"! So much better than the "Holy Crap" that came out of Caden's mouth this morning... whoops!
