big and little

i love that there are 13 years between paige and sofie...it's just a little something extra for me to be thankful about...i get to perfect the drama years with only one first so that when i'm inundated with 3, i will hopefully, be more prepared.

when i see paige grab sofia and start playing, well, it makes me melt just a little...and then i hear the whining and crying...and reality sets back in, but for a brief moment, i can see the love.
i see in the small things a glimpse of the future of them sitting at starbucks {and they are my kids, so you know coffee and chocolate will be involved} together, talking about their lives and inspiring each other...and complaining about how we parented them.

but for now, i'm gonna take the cuteness factor of sisters loving each other...in the non-mainstream way, but loving each other, nonetheless.

{for the record, i swear it was yesterday when i was playing with paige like she is here with sofie}

angie's got some pretty cool stuff going on over at her place, so head on over HERE!
and there's a few at 5 minutes for mom too!

Oh, I truly love this post. My kids are not as far apart in age, but my youngest is 8 and her sister is 13 and big brother is 16, so it's still a bit of a spread. I do love it on the rare occasions when they are NICE to each other. lol

I think its great that your girls can be so close regardless of age...my sister and I weren't that close growing up - 10 yrs difference, but we're learning to change that.

this is really beautiful. I can just see them sitting together. Sofie is so lucky, she has a big sister who will have been there and done that to help her steer through life.

Okay that makes me wish I'd had a baby when my Stepson was still around all the time. : (

For now, I'll take the few minutes they get to spend together once or twice a year...
