not me monday

it's that time again...
a few things i totally DID NOT do this week:

i did NOT sit in the parking lot using my finger to scrap out every last little bit of that sweet, white sugary icing out of b's cinnamon bun icing cup.

i did NOT have dinner with my college roomie and eat tons of chinese...and while trying to get away from the house and fam for a bit, spend the entire time talking about our kids and hubs and how great they are.

i did NOT get a sausage biscuit on tuesday morn that was missing the sausage!  what?!  hello?!

i did NOT go early to pick up paige from basketball to have alone and quiet time to sit and pray because when i'm at home there's always so many things to do and so many distractions.

i did NOT get all happy inside watching my kids, parents, brother and niece at disney on ice all together.

i did NOT give a homeless man $5 to get some food.

i did NOT get a call from hubs when i was about 20 steps into target that brooke just puked in the car and to come back out.  i also DID NOT pull up my shirt over my nose all the way home to not puke myself.  eeeewwwww.

i did NOT tell brooke that when pooping, her butt should not dip into the water!  brooke also DID NOT tell me that the poop is quiet that way.

ok...a linky here for my friend bloggedy blog blog who took the RAK GNO challenge and is passing along a little kindness to folks...and wants you to do the same!  go check her out...please!

Loved your list! The story with Brooke cracked me up. I also have had a weird foody thing like the sausage biscuit. My son and I once bought a cheeseburger happy meal at McD's and a two cheeseburger meal. When we took them home, he complained of no burger in his cheeseburger. I told him it was okay because he could have one of mine only to discover I had no burger in either of my cheeseburgers. Drive thrus suck.

Happy Monday!

I was cracking up at the poop story. Hehe!

Good for you for giving the homeless man some money. So many of us would probably just walk by and pretend not to see him!

Thank you for the stop by! I felt like such a lame Not Me'er because somehow I linked the wrong week to MckMama's blog!

Oh well...

So I usually pause, or mute peoples auto play music, I cant concentrate when music comes from my computer - call it old age... Or just lack of concentration!

Anyway, I had to listen to Its a Marshmellow World twice, because for 5 years now I have been hearing it at school concerts and NEVER heard all of the words - sung correctly that is!

Hope the pukes go away soon!

I really DO NOT use my fingers when it comes to icing... I just go for it by licking the icing out of the container... YUM!

I think the quiet poop is the winner! I like my poop silent too! ha!- but maybe not the dipping part.

I'd never thought about the finer logistics of pooping underwater before. She probably has a very valid point there.
I enjoyed your list and thanks for stopping by my blog! We are in the beginning stages of adoption so it was nice to see your kids- I'll be back! Happy Monday!

Loud poop can be a bit embarrassing. lol!

Aah. the "quiet poop" seems to have struck a chord with your readers and perhaps the world? Maybe it is time for the first underwater toilet system?? Similiar to the European bidet? You never know.

I once ordered a taco at Taco Bell and it was just a shell with lettuce and cheese.

I went back through the drive-through and told them over the speaker (midget was sleeping) and the girl didn't believe me. She asked me three times and not in a very nice way. I told her she could have the meatless taco back as long as I could get a non-vegetarian taco.

When I got up to the window, she looked in the shell and said, "Yep, they forgot the meat." Uh DUH! I just told you that you nincompoop!

Speaking of poop, that's pretty fricken funny...

LOVE the poop story - LOL. Aren't kids just so clever?! Tell her to drop a square of TP in before she goes...a little trick of the trade. :-)

Loling right now... I did NOT tell my husband to pick up a bag of chicken nuggets and tater tots while he's at the store because I have too much to do tonight to make something real (and I don't have kids as an excuse for no time either)!

random acts...GNO

over at GNO, there's a few of us who decided to challenge ourselves last week to perform a random act of kindness.   i talked with my girls and hubs about what we could do... we reserve some funds each month out of our giving to put towards a current or urgent need that we find.  i think it's important to let the kids see how we give as family...and they should be part of that decision too . as we were talking, and eating chinese...come on, you know there would be eating...i open my fortune cookie.  and this is it!! i was out getting a few minutes of alone time and decided to pay hubs forward by getting jiffy lube to do the oil change.  while i was there, i remembered how hard it was being a single mom.  i remembered that the little things, like oil changes, suddenly became bigger things and honestly, more expensive things.  *light bulb!!!* thomas rang me up for my oil change and asked if they had any scheduled appointments that i could pay for.  he looked at me a little odd...

sadness

on the way home from DD {{bc apparently there was NO preschool today for jk...it's no prob, really...we just rushed around and scrambled and got in the car and then when we got there and there was no school...well, there were tears...thus DD}} , there came a moment of sincere sadness in my heart. jk: " mommy, i want to look like brookie" "why sweetie? you are the perfect jada" jk: "i don't like my brown skin. i want peach skin like brookie" i just sank. does that not make ur heart want to break? a 3 yo is struggling already with her skin being different. then, this happened: brooke: "jada, god made you and he loves you. he does it all right the very first time" then, i think my heart grew three sizes . jada threw a big smile up on her face and said, "ok. god loves me" now, if we all could just do that. god loves us...he doesn't make mistakes...he makes perfect works of art. sometimes there are scratches in the art.

tuesday tribute---for tuesday

go blog yourself has been on my reading list for quite sometime...and so i really came to love little tuesday whitt and her whole sweet fam and became involved in praying for them in tuesday's battle with that stinky neuroblastoma . tuesday's parents are totally amazing...they inspire me! although tuesday went to play with jesus not so long ago, there have been so many people that are changed because of the courage and strength and honesty of the whitt family. on the day of celebration of tuesday's life, a number of folks who couldn't make it out to the funeral, took their kids on a 'wagie ride', which was one of tuesday's fav things. we all posted up our pics...shared our experiences with each other...and hugged our kiddos a little tighter. my kiddos wagie ride is here . from that precious little tuesday and her honorary wagie ride, a blog spawned...of course...and it is dedicated to nothing more than, in their words, "to keep track of lives touc
